Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AugmenTrait Private Limited is a software company registered in India, with its office at Plot No. G53/1, IDA IP-Sultanpur, General Park, Sultanpur, Patancheru, Medak – 502319, Telangana, India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to AugmenTrait Private Limited; "you" refers to anyone visiting this website or contacting us through it.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below. Questions about this policy go to info@augmentrait.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us, plus aggregate usage measurement. There is no account system on this website and no advertising network.

• Contact form submissions — your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), company name (if you provide one) and the content of your message.
• Correspondence — anything you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp when you get in touch directly.
• Server logs — our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL and timestamp, for security and abuse prevention.
• Usage measurement — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. It records page views, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and device and browser type. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4, and we do not use it for advertising or to identify you.

3. Why we use it

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it. We will only send you marketing email if you have asked us to, and every such email carries a way to stop them.

• To reply to your enquiry and to discuss a possible engagement or product trial.
• To provide services you have asked for, and to support them afterwards.
• To keep our systems secure — detecting, investigating and preventing abuse, fraud and technical faults.
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations that apply to us in India.

4. Legal basis

We process contact-form data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form, for the purpose stated on that form. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us, and withdrawal is as easy as giving it was.

Where we process data to comply with a legal obligation, or to establish or defend a legal claim, we rely on the legitimate-uses grounds permitted under the DPDP Act.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make this website and our business run, and only to the extent they need it:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — Amazon Web Services (Mumbai region) and our website host, which store the data and serve these pages.
• Email and communication providers, so we can reply to you.
• Google LLC, as the provider of Google Analytics 4, which processes usage data on our behalf under its data-processing terms.
• Professional advisers — accountants, auditors and lawyers — where required.
• Government or law-enforcement authorities, where we are legally compelled to disclose.

6. Where it is stored

Our primary infrastructure runs in the AWS Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region, so data submitted through this site is stored in India by default. Some service providers — for example email — may process data outside India; where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection and transfer only what is necessary.

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to answer them and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we have context if you come back to us — normally up to three years from our last exchange. Records we are required to keep for tax, accounting or statutory reasons are kept for the period the law prescribes. Server logs are kept for a short retention window and then rotated out. When data is no longer needed for any of these, it is deleted.

8. How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS with a strict Content-Security-Policy and standard hardening headers. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it, over authenticated connections, with activity logged. We use encryption in transit and at rest on our infrastructure.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a personal-data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act.

9. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data of yours we hold and how we have processed it.
• Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, completed or updated.
• Have your data erased when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
• Withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
• Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if our response does not resolve it.

10. Cookies

This website does not set advertising cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (for example _ga) to distinguish visits, which expire after up to two years; you can block or clear them in your browser, or opt out with the Google Analytics browser add-on, and the site works the same without them. Our host may set strictly necessary cookies required to serve and secure the site.

11. Children's data

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

12. Grievance officer

Any question, request or complaint about your personal data — including any of the rights above — should be sent to our Grievance Officer at info@augmentrait.com, or by post to AugmenTrait Private Limited, Plot No. G53/1, IDA IP-Sultanpur, General Park, Sultanpur, Patancheru, Medak – 502319, Telangana, India. We acknowledge within 72 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days.

13. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
